Bocoa or “ironwood” is a tree from the Amazon rainforest that is characterised by its longevity and the exceptional solidity of its wood. The leaves and bark of the Bocoa tree are considered to have magical powers by the Saramakas in Guyana. They use them in their “strength bath” for their invigorating properties.

In cosmetics, Bocoa extract helps to promote and protect skin firmness.
